NORA AND ANDRES || The Rockefeller Memorial ChapelChicago Wedding
Bosko and I were invited to photograph a wedding at the Rockefeller Memorial Chapel in Chicago, IL. This striking monument is the ceremonial and spiritual center of the University of Chicago. What a privilege to shoot in this historic chapel dating back to 1928. The chapel was influence by the medieval collegiate chapels of Europe and nothing short of magnificent.
The ceremony itself was just as magical. The sun was shining and the heat was on. Guests received fans to help stay cool, 100 plus degrees Fahrenheit in Chicago can warm up quickly. That didn’t stop their loved ones from enjoying this blessed occasion. These two cheerful and bubbly individuals stood with their families and friends to rejoiced in a sacred ceremony that would bond their love through eternity.
After the I Do’s, it was time to have some fun. We were warmly welcomed into the Smart Museum of Art and really got artistic with our poses. Then with Mother Nature providing such a flawless day the bridal party made its way down to Lake Michigan. A hint of nature and a glimpse of the city in the background made for some excellent group shots.
Another unique twist to the day, the reception was held downtown Chicago at the Newberry Library. The décor was amazing. We enjoyed observing the subtle influences throughout the hall it was really remarkable.
What a better way to show off their character than with, Mr. & Mrs. Gummy Bears, instead of tradition cake, how SWEET!
Live music to relax the mood before dinner then a DJ to spice up the dance floor.
Another great evening spend with the one I love most doing what we love to do!
